Teaching Practice

consultation

The practice has been approved to train doctors who have worked in hospitals and are completing their training as general practitioners. They are fully qualified doctors, usually spending one year with the practice. We also train Foundation Year 2 doctors. They are also fully qualified and undergoing their foundation training. The work of both the above categories of doctors is carefully supervised and one of the partners is always available if problems arise.

We are also a teaching practice for university medical schools and occasionally students may sit in on consultations and sometimes talk to you separately. You will always be asked by the receptionist if this is acceptable to you. We may also on occasion ask if your consultation may be recorded on video. This would be for teaching purposes only and we won't be offended if you say no; you are entitled to refuse at any time. Confidentiality will be maintained at all times
